Technician, Low Voltage

Position Summary

Will oversee Low Voltage repairs in Sub Regions 357 and 336A.

Responsible for assisting in the operation of multiple facilities and performing additional job related responsibilities.

• Sets up and configures various low voltage systems (security systems, fire alarms, CCTV, audio/video systems, network cabling).
• Runs, terminates, and labels cables according to project requirements and industry standards.
• Performs regular maintenance checks to ensure system functionality and reliability. Identifies and resolves issues in low voltage systems promptly.
• Provides technical support and training to end users on how to operate and maintain low voltage systems.
• Ensures all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Follows all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment. Maintains accurate and detailed records. Generates reports on system performance and maintenance activities.
• Works closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful project completion.
• Communicates effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Stays abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

• Training or certification in low voltage systems.
• BICSI Installer Certification.
• CompTIA certifications for networking (Network+).
• Manufacturer-specific certifications (Honeywell, Axis, Bosch).
• OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification/training.
• NICET 1 & 2 Fire Alarm certification.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Prior work experience in role requiring knowledge of local electrical codes and standards.
