$17.50/hr - $21.00/hr

• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy and in the performance of other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with state, federal and company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• If PTCB certified, assist and coach pharmacy technicians in the operation of pharmacy systems and cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance.
• Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Share customer‑service best practices and Walgreens service traits with team members.
• Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers.

• Assist in the practice of pharmacy, review and comply with the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
• Enter patient and drug information accurately using pharmacy systems; fill prescriptions, verify medicine, and check for interactions.
• Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
• Adhere to the Walgreen Co. policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing.
• Register all related sales on the assigned cash register, handle cash and assist customers in locating products.
• Handle non‑pharmacist telephone calls, including those to physicians.
• Process manual claims for third‑party prescription programs.
• Assist with inventory management: ordering, unpacking, checking, storing pharmaceutical shipments, and filing claims for overages or shortages.
• Assist with clinical services such as collection and labeling of blood/urine samples and coordination with healthcare clinics.
• Assist in developing good relationships with local medical community providers.
• Maintain pharmacy department supplies, cleanliness, and appearance.
• Maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
• Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state‑required certification; PTCB certification is a condition of promotion to senior technician.
• Attend training, complete PPLs, and acquire continuing education credits to maintain knowledge and skill in healthcare and pharmacy.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Experience in a retail environment for at least six months.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
