- Assists in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans, collaborating with experienced RNs and healthcare teams.
- Administers medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with protocols.
- Performs patient assessments, documenting vital signs, patient responses, and any changes in condition promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Provides patient and family education, addressing basic care, procedures, and treatment plans to promote patient understanding and adherence.
- Supports patient mobility, personal hygiene, and daily living activities, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, reporting changes in patient conditions to supervising RNs.
- Adheres to infection control protocols, patient safety guidelines, and hospital policies to maintain a safe care environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- No prior RN experience is required; this role is intended for recent graduates of nursing programs.
Skills And Abilities
- Basic knowledge of nursing principles, patient care procedures, and safety protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment and respond to changing patient needs.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) for accurate documentation.
- Must be eligible for RN licensure in the state of employment.
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
