We are seeking an experienced LTAC Registered Nurse to join a long-term acute care team in Jefferson, LA. The RN will be responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care while supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.

• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to identify teaching needs and goals.

• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.

• Participate in rehabilitation programs, patient/family education, and discharge planning.

• Communicate patient status changes to physicians, charge nurses, and other providers to ensure continuity of care.

• Provide direction, training, and supervision of ancillary staff.

• Promote patient and employee safety, including safe handling, infection control, and hazard reporting.

• Support a positive team environment and contribute to effective unit operations.

• Assume charge nurse responsibilities when assigned.
Requirements:

• Current RN license in state of practice.

• Minimum 1–2 years of recent LTAC, critical care, or acute hospital nursing experience required.

• BLS and ACLS required.

• Strong communication, leadership, and patient-centered care skills.
