Responsibilities- Plan and teach recreational activities and activities of daily living.
- Provide personal care and support community integration for adults with developmental disabilities.
- Transport clients locally (Waukesha/Brookfield and surrounding area).
- Complete and maintain accurate reports.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Receive paid classroom and on-the-job training; after training, become a CBRF certified DSP.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents; effective communication with customers, clients, and employees.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rate, ratio, percent).
- Reasoning ability to problem‑solve and follow instructions.
- Basic Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and valid vehicle insurance.
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle for work purposes.
- Ability to respond to and de‑escalate behavior issues.
- Strong organizational, time‑management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and make sound decisions.
- Flexibility to meet organizational needs.
- Knowledge of developmental disabilities.
- Physical demands: stand, walk, handle, reach, lift up to 50 pounds; may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions; moderate noise level.
