Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Prepare and administer medications orally, subcutaneously, or through an IV and record prescriptions.
  • Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment and interpret electronic displays.
  • Initiate corrective action when patients display adverse symptomatology.
  • Provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
  • Prepare equipment and aid physicians during examinations and treatments.
  • Respond to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol.
  • Participate in discharge planning.
  • Utilize time‑management skills.
  • Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner and in the appropriate format.
  • Perform other position‑related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Current LPN or RN license in the state.
  • Up‑to‑date first aid and CPR certification.
  • At least one year of experience as an LPN or RN in a long‑term care setting (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Matrix Care (preferred).
