Nurse Educator
Responsibilities
The Clinical Nurse Educator assesses, develops, plans, presents, and evaluates educational activities based on areas of expertise. The role collaborates with management, staff and advanced practice registered nurses to achieve goals related to learning and competence. Nursing education focuses on professional development of the nursing staff through orientation, continuing education programs and in-services related to changes that occur. Promotes the Norton Healthcare nursing professional practice model utilizing Dr.
Kristen Swanson's Theory of Caring, while focusing on responsibilities, relationships, and communication. Demonstrates knowledge, skills and behaviors for the neonate/infant, adolescent, adult and geriatric clients as appropriate based on specific criteria and/or age specific considerations.
Required:
- One year as a registered nurse
- Bachelor Degree
- Registered Nurse
Desired:
- One year in academic or clinical education, practice governance structures, or in area of nursing specialty
- Master Degree
