Financial Controller - Jeffersonville, IN

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the leadership team to support business growth and company long-term objectives.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team (Staff Accountant, A/R, A/P) on a daily basis.
• Ensure financial integrity of the company by developing and maintaining accounting policies.
• Recommend and implement process improvements that drive efficiency in the accounting department.
• Project based work that includes data analysis in the ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics – Business Central.
• Manage the month-end financial closing in compliance with US GAAP.
• Understand the legal entity structure and reporting of multiple companies.
• Act as liaison with banking and insurance partners.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and provide business analysis.
• Work directly with the public accounting firm to support financial statement reviews and tax planning.
• Assist with treasury management, daily cash tracking, and forecasting.
• Assist with commercial and credit insurance administration.
• Review balance sheet account reconciliations monthly. Ad hoc tasks assigned by the CFO.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (4-year College/University Degree).
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or experience as a Controller for 7 to 10 years.
• Strong understanding and application of US GAAP.
• Strong IT acumen and willing to become subject matter expert in the ERP system.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (i.e. Excel, Outlook).
• Team oriented mindset. Strong communication skills. Ability to work in an office environment (not remote).
