Description
Senior Accountant - at Clark Memorial. Responsible for accurate financial reporting for assigned sections of the financial statements and statistics for the Hospital and all financial statements and statistics for assigned COIDs. Understands and assists in ensuring compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) Controls. Follows and understands all APGs (Accounting Policy Guidelines). At the Senior level, the Accountant should understand all financial activities in the assigned COIDs and the Hospital, as it relates to their role.
This includes understanding Revenue Cycle functions of Patient Accounting (if assigned Hospital reconciliations/entries) and physician practice AllScripts. The Senior Accountant should also understand the Supply Chain, from procurement to payment, as well as our Payroll process. The Senior roles assist the Controller and Assistant Controller in projects as assigned. This role should consistently be involved in process improvement in the department and the overall financial processes of the facility.
Responsible for completing assigned sections of tax and cost report work-papers, as well as assisting with all Internal & External audits and other regulatory reporting requirements. This role should be a resource for the hospital as it concerns financial processes and systems.

- Bachelors Degree in Accounting required.
- One year of experience in the hospital field preferred.
