Job Description
Direct technicians in workflow, scheduling, accuracy, and dispensing operation. Ensure highest quality and accuracy in delivering patient prescriptions throughout customer experience and interaction with pharmacy. Demonstrate core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Responsibilities- Perform and oversee dispensing process and record-keeping.
- Assist troubleshooting and resolving customer/store complaints, including appropriate documentation.
- Assist in managing inventory and drug file maintenance.
- Communicate with Central Fill GM, pharmacy manager, and system administrator regarding operational issues, suggestions, and repairs.
- Participate in periodic review and update of policies and procedures.
- Participate in orientation and training of new pharmacists and associates.
- Provide leadership and direction to supervisors, leads, and customer service representatives.
- Ensure patient information is handled HIPAA compliant.
- Comply with state and federal drug laws.
- Establish/maintain record‑keeping practices necessary for legal compliance, company policies, accounting, and other reports.
- Maintain equipment (computers, printers, accuracy scanners, cash registers) to ensure working condition.
- Maintain and organize all policy manuals, reference books, state laws, and required equipment; verify staff knowledge.
- Make continuous effort to broaden knowledge and pharmacy skills.
- May require pharmacist licensure in additional states based on business need and regulatory requirements.
- Must perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or recognized as Foreign Pharmacist Equivalent Graduate.
- Any Specialty Pharmacy experience.
- Current clinical license for all states within geographic sector.
- Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing.
- Ability to prioritize and multi‑task while providing accurate/on‑time results.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
- Effective oral/written communication skills.
Desired
- 1 year of retail experience.
- Central Fill or Mail Order Pharmacy experience.
- Leadership experience.
