Job Description - Diabetes Educator-Part-Time/PRN-Endocrinology Office )
ResponsibilitiesDescription Provides direct and indirect patient care in the outpatient setting. Communicates with physicians and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition. Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment. Provides patient and family education in all aspects of diabetes self care.
QualificationsMust possess Registered Dietitian certification and Certified Diabetes Management certification. Must be cross-trained in all diabetes-related aspects of the program or services.
