Inspector Jeffersonville, IN | Temp-to-Hire | $17/hr Shift: 1st Shift, Monday – Friday | 7: 00 AM – 3: 30 PM

BESTAFF is hiring a detail-driven Inspector for a growing manufacturing partner in Jeffersonville, IN. You' ll be the quality gatekeeper for premium wood veneer used in furniture and cabinetry production, catching defects before they ever reach the line and repairing them by hand. It' s steady, Monday– Friday daytime work with weekends off and a real path to a permanent position.

• Inspect incoming wood veneer sheets for defects such as knots, blemishes, grain inconsistencies, damage, and size variations
• Verify veneer matches the specified wood species and grain patterns
• Measure and assess material using specialized inspection tools
• Repair imperfections using a hand sander and wood putty
• Check your own work against work instructions and quality standards
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to your supervisor
• Meet and maintain production levels while completing required production forms
• Follow lockout/tagout and all safety procedures, and keep your work area and equipment clean and organized
• Pitch in across other areas as needed
