OverviewCalling All Passionate Individuals:
Become an Early Childhood Pre‑Kindergarten Teacher! The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan's state‑funded, nationally recognized Pre‑K program for 4‑year‑old children. We’re looking for a GSRP Associate Teacher to support a high‑quality, play‑based classroom that prepares children for kindergarten and beyond.
- Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing daily lessons using an approved GSRP curriculum
- Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment for preschool‑aged children
- Implement age‑appropriate lesson plans that are provided
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning space
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive community
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
- Support children’s individual learning needs and encourage their social and emotional growth
- Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or a valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with a plan to complete an associate degree
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passion for nurturing and educating young children
- Experience in early childhood education and preschool settings preferred
