Responsibilities- Ensures customer service and teamwork while conducting responsibilities.
- Fills medication orders, charges/credits all medication, stocks, delivers, and inspects assigned areas.
- Prepares IV admixtures and other extemporaneous compounds and enters TPN orders into the computer system.
- Maintains competency in professional growth and responsibilities.
- Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, ensuring respect for privacy and appropriate communication.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Education:
High School diploma or equivalent. - Preferred
Work Experience:
1 year hospital experience. - Certification:
Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the state Board of Pharmacy.
- Computer data entry skills and dexterity.
- Proficiency with Windows applications and keyboard.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate standard pharmacy and office equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel throughout and between facilities.
- Flexible schedule availability (24/7, weekend, holiday, on call).
Medium work – may lift 20–50 lbs occasionally and 10–25 lbs frequently; requires standing, walking, and occasional pushing/pulling of materials. No exposure to blood or body fluids. Potential risk of hazardous medication exposure inherent to a healthcare setting.
