Pharmacy Technician - Certified - OALH - Pharmacy

• Ensures customer service and teamwork while conducting responsibilities.
• Fills medication orders, charges/credits all medication, stocks, delivers, and inspects assigned areas.
• Prepares IV admixtures and other extemporaneous compounds and enters TPN orders into the computer system.
• Maintains competency in professional growth and responsibilities.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, ensuring respect for privacy and appropriate communication.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• Education:
  
  High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred
  
  Work Experience:
  
  1 year hospital experience.
• Certification:
  Current Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by the state Board of Pharmacy.

• Computer data entry skills and dexterity.
• Proficiency with Windows applications and keyboard.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate standard pharmacy and office equipment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel throughout and between facilities.
• Flexible schedule availability (24/7, weekend, holiday, on call).

Medium work – may lift 20–50 lbs occasionally and 10–25 lbs frequently; requires standing, walking, and occasional pushing/pulling of materials. No exposure to blood or body fluids. Potential risk of hazardous medication exposure inherent to a healthcare setting.
