Code Enforcement Inspector

Duties

The City of Jennings is accepting applications for a Code Enforcement Inspector. Duties include conducting interior and exterior inspections, writing reports, issuing citations, and testifying in court. Must be familiar with ICC codes and have current valid driver’s license.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities.
• Excellent report writing skills to document inspection findings accurately.
• Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements, such as FDA regulations.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
