MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and professional E-Commerce Shipping Associate to join our E-Commerce - Jenningsteam! Qualifications

No degree is required. High School Diploma/GED preferred. The ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with co-workers, customers, and management. Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population—necessary math, computer, and website navigation skills. Complex reasoning and decision-making skills are required. The ability to type 40 + WPM is strongly preferred.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities
  • Accurately pull orders from the shelf, scan merchandise to track the chain of custody, and add to cart.
  • Use disc-resurfacing machines according to instructions.
  • Notify the supervisor of any errors in pulling, listing, or damaging products.
  • Locate boxes and packaging material appropriate for the item being shipped.
  • Package and seal items, preventing damage to merchandise.
  • Weigh items, ensuring correct postage based on weight and dimensions.
  • Create address labels and postage stickers, and ensure the package contents.
  • Sort packages into designated containers, bags, or carts for shipping.
  • Assist the shipping company with loading or unloading packages.
  • Support the supervisor with the purging or relocation of inventory.
  • Prepare the production station before and clean the station after every shift.
  • Establishes and maintains positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership and works cross-functionally with other teams to increase communication.
  • Utilizes safe work practices through awareness and observation and contributes to ensuring the workplace is hazard-free by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and designated walkways debris-free.
  • Maintain a professional appearance always, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
  • Safeguards agency assets, including cash, donated items, and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft. Reports any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets.
  • Must adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Immediate date of hire individual and family medical benefits for full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week.
  • Individual and family dental and vision benefits on the first of the month following the hire date for employees working 20 or more hours week.
  • Voluntary Life and AD&D Insurance on the first of the month following the hire date for employees working 20 or more hours per week.
  • 403(B) Retirement on date of hire for employees working 20 or more hours per week.
  • 403(B) Retirement + Employer Match after one year of employment for employees working 20 or more hours per week.
