The Membrane/Dryer CIP Operator is an integral member of the production team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all documentation. This role ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation requirements, and performance measures. The CIP Operator must possess comprehensive knowledge of both Dryer and Membrane production lines and equipment, and demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Additionally, this position involves operating, cleaning, and maintaining manufacturing equipment, while effectively utilizing strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Completes pre-operational checks on all equipment before starting a process.
- Checks components of in-process product in accordance with published SOPs.
- Reviews department and system performances daily. Offers ideas and suggestions on how to improve the quality of the product or process.
- Follows published SSOPs for equipment and processes.
- Collects all samples in accordance with SOPs.
- Completes all work instructions, production log sheets, and sanitation log sheets accurately and in a timely manner.
- Operates equipment in accordance with SOPs. Produces corrections-based system outputs and operational data.
- Monitors and documents chemical additions and consumption compared to standards. Informs supervisor of any issues or concerns.
- Verifies CIP systems performance and drives CIP efficiency.
- Supports the “Dry Floor” program in the dryer area. Continuously monitors all aspects of the production process for leaks and spills; takes immediate corrective action and informs the supervisor.
- Arrives for work on time and ready to help operate the business successfully.
- Operates and cleans processing equipment in accordance with the production plan.
- Offers ideas and suggestions on how to improve the process and System SOPs, SSOPs and Sanitation Program.
- Complies with all OSHA and plant safety regulations. Submits ideas and suggestions on how to improve safety. Communicates safety issues and concerns to the Production Supervisor.
- Participates as a team member and treats others with respect. Willingness to learn new concepts and embrace change.
- Prepares for yearly review of personal performance. Completes other projects as assigned.
- Education: Required:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work-related experience. - Experience: Production plant environment experience a plus. Industrial production operator experience a plus.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: In-depth knowledge of Dryer and Membrane production lines and equipment; proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and process issues; strong verbal and written communication; commitment to high standards of documentation and compliance.
- Physical Requirements: Exceeding ladder and stairs use, walking, repetitive motions of wrists/hands/fingers, standing for long periods, stooping, reaching, pushing/pulling, lifting up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally, occasional crawling and bending in confined spaces, exposure to high noise (>92 dB) and extreme heat (>100°F).
