Position: Predictive Maintenance Technician I

Job Type: Regular

The Predictive Maintenance Technician I is responsible for executing the plant’s Predictive Maintenance program; including collection and analysis of vibration, ultrasound, and thermographic information for plant equipment and performing precision maintenance. The Predictive Maintenance Technician I helps ensure that all plant assets are operating at optimal levels to achieve the optimum equipment life.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collect, manage and analyze thermography data, vibration analysis data, and ultrasonic analysis data.
  • Generate reports for corrective actions based on thermography data, vibration analysis data and ultrasonic analysis data.
  • Educate maintenance technicians on predictive, preventive and precision maintenance techniques.
  • Complete failure analysis procedures and documentation following equipment failures.
  • Generate work orders for corrective action as needed.
  • Understand and comply with all Quality Assurance policies, immediately reporting any potential food safety issues to management.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work within the MMS (maintenance management system) to assign work orders as needed
  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Safety Protocol
    • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
    • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
    • Support safety policies and programs.

Qualifications Education Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Specialized training in the mechanical/technical field, with an emphasis in Industrial Maintenance required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Experience Required
  • Ideally 3 years in reliability/predictive.
  • Experience with Maintenance Management System (MMS) such as Maximo preferred.
  • Education:

    High school diploma + technical/mechanical training.
  • Skills:

    Strong computer and data analysis skills. Ability to work independently. Continuous improvement mindset.
Certification/Licensure Required
  • Category 1 Vibration Analyst Certification (asset)
  • Level 1 Thermography Certification (asset)
Skills Required
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with managers and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, establish priorities, ability to multitask, and meet deadlines.
