Tax Accountant

A well-established and financially stable organization is seeking a Tax Accountant to join its growing corporate tax team. The individual will assist with federal and state income tax compliance, tax provision reporting, audit support, and various tax-related projects. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to expand their technical tax knowledge and develop within a corporate tax environment.

• Prepare federal and state corporate income tax returns, including book-to-tax adjustments and state apportionment calculations
• Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations
• Calculate and process quarterly estimated tax payments
• Support federal and state tax audits by gathering documentation and assisting with information requests
• Research and respond to tax notices from federal and state taxing authorities
• Participate in tax planning initiatives, due diligence projects, and other special tax-related assignments
• Provide general support to the tax department and contribute to process improvement efforts

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• tax experience required; public accounting experience is preferred
• Understanding of federal and state income tax compliance concepts
• Knowledge of tax and accounting principles
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a team-oriented environment
• Experience with corporate tax software such as Corp Tax, One Source Tax Provision, Alteryx, or similar tools is a plus
