RWJBarnabas Health is Seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine BC/BE physician for Northern, NJ

RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, is seeking a full-time Pediatric Emergency Medicine BC/BE physician to join our faculty at the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. The Children’s Hospital at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center treats nearly 30 subspecialties, has 31 in-patient, 20 PICU, and 60 NICU beds. Our growing 35k/yr ED is staffed 24/7, with double physician coverage during peak hours in addition to daily APP coverage.

The pediatric ED has 16 beds, with additional space in fast-track, an observation unit, and a separate PESS unit for acute behavioral health complaints.

This is a great opportunity to join a historically stable PEM team with both clinical and academic responsibilities including direct patient care, supervision of PEM fellows, Peds, EM and Med/Peds residents, medical students, didactic teaching, research and participation in administrative activities. The pediatric emergency department has a robust support staff including PEM, POCUS, EMS, and Simulation fellows.

The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $300,000 to $315,000 per year. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.
