Validation Engineer​/System Engineer, Jersey , NJ

Overview

Location: Jersey City, NJ (Relocation considered only within the Tri-State area)

Type: Contract (W2 Only)

Rate: $70/hr on W2

Visa: Open to W2 candidates only (No C2C)

• Hardware Performance Testing – hands-on experience validating and stress-testing server-grade hardware.

• Linux Red Hat Expertise – strong background in managing and troubleshooting RHEL environments.

• Scripting Skills – advanced knowledge of Bash and Python for automation and test script development.

• Data Handling – familiarity with XML
  , JSON
  , and integration with OEM APIs
  .

• Bare Metal Provisioning – must understand server deployment from scratch.

• Experience with
  datacenter GPUs and performance tuning.

• Knowledge of virtualization tools:

  • VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, vSphere, ESXi, VCF, vRealize, NSX-T

• Cloud-native & containerization familiarity:

  • Kubernetes (K8s), Kube Virt

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): – ability to work with Express Configuration, potentially using Terraform or Ansible.

• Storage Technologies: – Working knowledge of S3-compatible storage
  .

• Virtualization Migration Experience: – Past work involving migration from Open Stack to VMs or other hypervisors.

• Must be local to NJ/NY/CT or willing to relocate at own expense.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently in a high-performance engineering environment.
