Job Overview

Engineering Technology System Analyst – ITnova is seeking an experienced professional with expertise in the AEC sector and a strong focus on document management systems and project information management. The role supports the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) and collaborates with PANYNJ’s Technology and Cybersecurity teams to evaluate, review, and test new software applications and cloud platforms.

• Manage engineering-specific applications and systems, administering and supporting solutions such as Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, Leica Cyclone Enterprise, Base Map Management Service, Near Map, and Esri ArcGIS Pro.
• Coordinate software deployments and upgrades, overseeing rollouts and version updates of engineering software and customizing application features to meet specific requirements.
• Evalue emerging software and hardware technologies, assessing new engineering tools and preparing detailed analysis reports for senior management.
• Maintain documentation, provide staff training updates, and support onboarding by delivering training sessions to engineering staff.
• Troubleshoot application-level issues, implement minor functional enhancements, and address support tickets based on user feedback.
• Participate in client and interdepartmental meetings, gathering requirements, sharing updates, and aligning technology initiatives.
• Deliver internal knowledge bar presentations, workshops, and presentations to promote best practices and awareness of engineering software capabilities.
• Collaborate with Engineering Senior Management, holding regular meetings to discuss strategic goals and application roadmaps.
• Lead task planning and prioritization, translating project objectives into actionable tasks and coordinating execution with relevant stakeholders.

• Minimum 10 years of industry experience in the AEC sector, particularly with AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks, focusing on document and project information management.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud technologies, including hands‑on experience in Azure Data Lake storage environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and Power BI for documentation, reporting, and data visualization.
• Expertise in PDF and markup tools, with at least 5 years of experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro and Bluebeam Revu.
• Advanced system analysis capabilities to generate detailed usage reports on all application license utilization across the agency.
• Experience managing engineering project data workflows and 3D scanned point cloud data storage systems.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills, self‑driven with the ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation.
• PE or RA certification is a plus.
