OverviewThe VP Credit Risk Review Officer will conduct comprehensive credit reviews and loan reviews for leveraged corporates and wholesale credit risk, providing an independent assessment of credit risk management practices. The role is part of the third line of defense and works with cross-functional teams to support credit review processes.
Responsibilities- Credit Review:
Conduct thorough credit reviews and loan reviews for leveraged corporates and wholesale credit risk, including financial statement analysis, industry trends, and competitive positioning. - Independent Assessment:
Provide an independent assessment of credit risk management practices, identifying potential risks and recommending improvements. - Risk Management:
Monitor and assess the credit risk of existing leveraged corporates and wholesale credit portfolios, identifying potential risks and recommending mitigation strategies. - Financial Modeling:
Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support credit review and assessment processes. - Market Research:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes impacting leveraged corporates and wholesale credit risk. - Reporting:
Prepare and present comprehensive credit review reports, risk assessments, and presentations to senior management and risk committees. - Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including credit officers, portfolio managers, and legal advisors, to support the execution of credit review processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or CFA designation preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in credit analysis, corporate finance, or investment banking, focusing on leveraged corporates and wholesale credit risk.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
- Excellent understanding of corporate credit risk and credit review methodologies.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- High ethical standards and commitment to professional integrity.
$175,000 - $185,000 base salary.
