Regulatory Exam Lead, Vice President

Location:

Jersey City, New Jersey, United States Position Type:

Hybrid (1 day remote, 4 days office – Boston, MA; Stamford, CT; Jersey City; Clifton, NJ)

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead examination planning and support pre‑examination readiness across financial and non‑financial risk disciplines.
  • Review regulatory exam requests and evaluate the quality, accuracy, sufficiency, and completeness of responses, ensuring adherence to enterprise‑wide requirements.
  • Establish regular preparation meetings with target business units and coordinate cross‑discipline, cross‑region teams to deliver on exam requirements.
  • Prepare briefing notes and read‑outs for examination meetings.
  • Compile, track, and communicate regulatory guidance, themes, and focus areas that could impact examinations.
  • Collaborate with senior management to analyze exam requests and provide guidance on effective approaches.
  • Maintain metrics on examination request responsiveness and roadmap planning.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings between business units and the examination team.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of management experience in financial services.
  • Strong background in Compliance, Audit, or equivalent risk disciplines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior stakeholders and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including simplifying technical content.
  • Experience as a Bank Regulator or Examiner strongly preferred.
  • Sound understanding of at least one risk discipline (Financial or Non‑Financial).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
