Senior Python Developer

Our client, a leading financial services firm, is seeking a Senior Python Developer to join their team. As a Senior Python Developer, you will be part of the Risk Management Department supporting the Fixed Income Trading Team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a quick learning aptitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Python Developer

Location: Jersey City, NJ

• Developing Risk PL attribution systems for trading desks, combining mathematical and technology skills with a focus on risk calculation and batching distribution.
• Managing underlying trading risk workflows and the interaction of booking, risk, market data, and analytic systems.
• Understanding the flow of data from booking systems like RTW, VMASTER, and PIONEER to the Quartz database and remote risk.
• Creating Intraday/Real-Time Front Office Risk/PL applications for the Interest Rates derivatives desk in NY, emphasizing speed and efficiency.
• Providing comprehensive End Of Day Risk/PL reports to enterprise teams outside of FICC, including Finance, Market Risk, and Regulatory/Compliance.

• Strong Python skills with a proven ability to work with complex systems architecture.
• Experience in the financial industry, particularly with Fixed Income Rates products.
• Good interpersonal skills and comfort with Quartz framework architecture.
• Advanced analytical and mathematical skills, with eagerness to learn.
• Previous experience with Live Intraday Risk/PnL pricing systems and effective communication with Traders/Front Office end users.
