Regional Practice Manager, Northeast Region
Job Overview
RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Regional Practice Manager (RM) to oversee operations and clinical functions across multiple practice locations in Jersey City, New Jersey. The RM reports to a Regional Director (RD) and ensures safe, compassionate patient experiences, compliant practice environments, and efficient delivery of services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (Healthcare Administration preferred). Appropriate experience may substitute for educational requirements.
- 3‑5 years of group practice management experience with multiple locations.
- Critical thinking, analytical skills, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Knowledge of healthcare financial management, medical practice accounting, reimbursement issues, patient flow, and facility management.
- Understanding of physician compensation models and contract terminology.
- Experience with Surgical and Medical Specialty Practices.
- Clinical capacity experience.
- Academic medical group setting experience.
- Collaborates with RD to onboard acquired practices, track action items, and communicate findings.
- Develops, plans, and budgets at strategic and operational levels for each practice.
- Reviews management data to ensure budget performance and identifies efficiency improvements.
- Initiates process improvements and communicates with VP, RD, and site providers.
- Identifies operating costs and capital budget needs, completes ROI justifications, and reviews monthly budgets.
- Schedules staff across locations for optimal coverage and establishes monthly schedules for providers and staff.
- Tracks and evaluates scheduling, revenues, staff competencies, and training.
- Coordinates with HR for payroll, orientation, handbook delivery, and policy compliance; oversees payroll in accordance with company policy.
- Conducts disciplinary processes per HR policy, performs annual performance evaluations, and engages staff meetings.
- Ensures quality measures implementation, tracks deficiencies with Director of Quality compliance.
- Supports patient acquisition efforts and seeks volume growth opportunities.
