Behavioral Technician (Hudson County) – $300 Sign-On Bonus at Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare
Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare provides Comprehensive Youth and Family Support Services to primary caregivers of children and teens with developmental and intellectual disabilities. We serve families across New Jersey and are seeking dedicated Behavioral Technicians to join our Hudson County team.
Job SummaryAs a Behavioral Technician, you will support children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center. Services are hands-off, emotionally supportive, and designed to promote client alertness, engagement, and emotional well-being. Providers typically work 5–20 hours per week, with 2–4 hour shifts primarily scheduled in the evenings.
Responsibilities- Provide non-physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children and families
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the client
- Implement strategies outlined in each child’s Individual Support Plan
- Conduct functional assessments, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Use redirection strategies to manage behavioral concerns
- Prepare and maintain progress notes
- Respond to crises using de-escalation and safety strategies
- Engage clients in interest-based activities to support growth and awareness
- Attend case reviews, team meetings, and required trainings
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field is preferred but not required
- At least one year of relevant experience with individuals with IDD, preferably children
- Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must be working toward Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance
- Must pass all state and federal background checks
- Initiative to frequently check emails for admin communications
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates encouraged

- Starting Rate: $20.00/hour

- $150 issued after 45 days of active case assignment
- $150 issued after an additional 60 days
- Must meet eligibility criteria and remain in good standing throughout the bonus period
- Complete onboarding and orientation requirements
- Maintain a minimum weekly caseload of 2–3 assigned clients
- Remain actively engaged and attend all scheduled sessions
