WhatYou'll Be Doing
- Create and conduct outreach workshops and presentations, implementing a media literacy curriculum for adolescents ages 13 to 18 in accordance with DCF/DOW guidelines.
- Report outreach events to the Outreach & Prevention Coordinator.
- Research, create, and implement prevention education programming for individuals and groups of all ages and settings.
- Distribute promotional materials to the community and participate in local events.
- Network with and provide presentations to local agencies, community service organizations, schools, hospitals, religious communities, county offices, civil service offices, and others to promote agency services and educate on sexual assault issues, including involvement in agency‑wide events such as Sexual Assault Awareness Month (April).
- Obtain and update a community resource manual within Hudson County for survivors of sexual violence.
- Participate in monthly team meetings, attend trainings and workshops relevant to the program, and pursue professional development.
- Provide administrative assistance: attend weekly outreach workshops for identified community groups, maintain contact statistics for monthly reporting, offer non‑clinical support workshops for survivors, maintain accurate records, and perform clerical duties.
- Bachelor's Degree required in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of previous experience working with Domestic Violence and/or Sexual Violence populations.
- Bi‑lingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Valid NJ driver's license.
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Occasionally weekends and evenings for outreach events.
