Overview

The Residential Coordinator (Group Home Manager) or RC position requires experience in planning and implementing programs for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. It involves quality assurance, training of staff, preparation of programmatic and financial data reports, and personnel related responsibilities.
The RC is responsible for ensuring a smooth operation and remaining compliant with agency and state regulations. We are looking for a strong candidate to lead a Hudson County based Group Home.
- Reading, knowing and complying with all appropriate governing documents in the administration of programs (contracts, agency policies and procedures, State or Federal standards, program operations manuals and circulars, internal and external references).
- Ensure compliance with the agency’s Operations and Personnel Manuals and the Division of Developmental Disabilities Standards Manual.
- Complete and/or review and submit logs, records, forms, schedules, and reports as required by the agency and the Division of Developmental Disabilities. Maintain all program files according to specifications.
- Attend meetings and training as directed by the Director of Residential Services.
- Ensure nutritional and dietary needs of the clients are met and maintain dietary and nutritional information on clients.
- Ensure all Individual Habilitation Plans and supporting documentation are implemented and consistent with agency and State requirements and monitor same.
- Supervise maintenance of home and property to assure a safe, clean, and orderly environment.
- Ensure proper program coverage by staff at all times, aligned with client needs and program budget.
- Coordinate client health care including scheduling and reporting appointments and treatment; provide transportation to medical appointments when necessary.
- Supervise medication dispersion and documentation.
- Report all unusual incident reports and internal reports; facilitate family and guardian contacts.
- Direct staff and volunteers in program, providing guidance, role modeling and instruction as needed.
- Ensure comprehensive training and orientation of new staff; complete staff evaluations and new hire probationary logs.
- Maintain professional demeanor in all interactions with clients, supervisors, staff, families, neighbors, professionals and others involved in the program.
- Maintain, document, and disperse household funds including petty cash, grocery, client funds, recreation, salary and clothing disbursement.
- Coordinate daily activity and recreation schedules ensuring follow through and completion.
- Ensure client development in self-help skills, community living, social skills, and activities of daily living.
- Implement and monitor Individual Habilitation Plans, Behavior Support Plans and other training plans required.
- Participate in and ensure accuracy of payroll reporting; provide transportation for residents as necessary.
- During off hours, serve as the “On Call” in case of an emergency to provide coverage or as directed by the Director of Residential Services.
- Implement department-wide programming as requested by the Director of Residential.
- Monitor program budget to ensure appropriate expenditures.
- Coordinate, attend and/or schedule all required meetings relevant to the operation of the residential program as directed by the Director of Residential Services and/or Chief Executive Officer.
- Provide a consistent means of relaying information between Administration and staff as needed.
- Work flexible hours as necessary for the benefit of the program.
- Respect the confidential nature of all information regarding clients and families and ensure client dignity and a safe, healthy environment for all clients at all times.
- Cooperate with the Licensee and any Department staff in inspections or investigations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Residential Services and/or the Chief Executive Officer or designee.
- All staff are strongly encouraged to participate in fundraising activities to any extent possible.
- RC is required to work 1 evening, 1 Weekend Day, and 1 overnight per month for staff supervision.
- Candidates must possess a valid NJ driver’s license (or transfer), be 21 or older, pass physical and substance screening, fingerprinting, and complete online state mandated training prior to Orientation.

Salary Range: $52,500-$58,000 annually
