Network​/System Engineer

10 is currently seeking a Network/System Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ, Charlotte, NC, and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position.

• Interface with customers and identifies their needs
• Work with various departments from network engineers, support and operations to ensure a plan is in motion to improve the customer's experience
• Work to balance various aspects of the project, from safety to design
• Research advanced technology regarding best practices in the field and seek to find cost-effective solutions
• Work closely with Information Technology professionals within the company to ensure hardware is available for projects and working properly
• Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved
• Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
• Establish a framework for necessary contributions from various departments and facilitate their collaboration
• Analyze current technologies used within the company and develop steps and processes to improve
• Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates in relation to customer experience
• Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
• Account for possible project challenges or constraints and proactively seek to manage challenges

• Bachelor's degree, with many holding degrees in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related engineering fields
• 5 years of hands on job skills
• Minimum 7-10 years of hands on experience in the relevant areas, particularly in the financial domains
• Firm holistic understanding of both the operational and scope aspects of projects
• Competitive Windows Sys Admin IIS Admin Skills
• Knowledge to manage data on the RDBMS' (includes data analytics)
• Power Shell scripting
• Ability to plan, design, create programs, and document through AGILE framework
• Application Container knowledge (.NET/IIS)
• Ability to design and develop application and architectural solutions for complex technology problems using available and emerging technologies
• Experience managing changes, defects, and projects across various testing and PROD environments
• Self-driven, generalist, innovative, result-oriented, motivating, leadership, and project management skills
• JAVA Full Stack Development on UNIX Windows
• Automation on Windows automation (Power Shell, Blade logic, etc.)
• DEVOPS (Environment Management Application Releases on Windows)
• App middleware Architecture (IIS/.NET) on Java
• Network architecture
• Hardware architecture
• Experience developing IT and cloud infrastructure
• Up to date understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
• Experience with software engineering, customer experience and design architecture
• Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes
• Extensive knowledge and experience working with various operating systems
• Professional work experience in analyzing computer hardware and software
• Ability to work with various departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project plan
• Hands on expertise in creating, using, and debugging Terraform code and configurations; testing INFRA modules created using Terraform
• Hands on DEVOPS CLOUDOPS with provisioning and Config management technologies
• Gathering configurations from existing infrastructure (Servers, Firewall, Load Balancer, Application Middleware (Tomcat, Web Sphere, etc.), Storage)
• Hands on expertise in Ansible Playbook and XLR
• Hands on expertise on Windows and RHEL Operating Systems as Sys Admin
• Excellent and pleasant communication skills to work with Executives and Senior Leaders
• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

• Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Project development and leadership skills
