Job Title: Sr. Cloud Dev Ops Engineer / SRE / Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Jersey City, NJ (Nearby Candidates Only)
Employment Type: W2 Only
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Dev Ops Engineer / SRE / Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in Open Shift and strong development skills in Java or Python. This role will be heavily focused on infrastructure automation, enterprise-grade Open Shift deployments, and building API integrations to support scalable platform services.
Top Priorities:Strong Open Shift Experience – including enterprise-level build, installation, and automation (not just usage).
Java or Python Development – hands-on experience building and integrating APIs.
Virtualization Expertise – with VMware as a core component.
Architect, build, and automate Open Shift platforms in an enterprise environment.
Perform system-level design and implementation tasks for containerized applications.
Develop tools, scripts, and APIs in Java or Python to support infrastructure automation and platform services.
Manage and optimize virtualization infrastructure including VMware.
Collaborate with cloud, security, and operations teams to ensure high availability and scalability.
Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and SRE best practices.
Monitor and troubleshoot issues across infrastructure and application layers.
Proven experience building and automating Open Shift clusters (not just as a user).
Strong programming skills in Java or Python with API development experience.
Solid understanding of VMware or similar virtualization platforms.
Deep knowledge of container orchestration, Dev Ops practices, and infrastructure as code.
Strong troubleshooting skills in complex, distributed systems.
Experience in enterprise infrastructure environments.
Experience with KVM and other hypervisors.
Exposure to Software-Defined Networking (SDN) solutions.
Familiarity with additional container tools or hybrid cloud technologies.
