Senior Engagement Manager – Professional Services, AWS Industries
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (Pro Serve) team seeks a highly skilled Engagement Manager (EM) to lead delivery of complex cloud solution projects. In this role you will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions, bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate technical discussions, and ensure alignment with customer outcomes. You will apply AWS frameworks such as Well‑Architected and the Cloud Adoption Framework while demonstrating technical credibility across diverse stakeholders, distilling customer needs into clear technical requirements, decomposing complex problems, and making informed trade‑off decisions regarding performance, scalability, security, and business impact.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage complex cloud migration and implementation projects
- Leverage AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning
- Bridge business requirements with technical solutions, facilitate engineering discussions, and ensure alignment with customer business outcomes
- Distill customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes
- Decompose complex technical problems into actionable deliverables
- Contribute to technical documentation and define documentation standards
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
- Experience leading multiple Agile teams (e.g., Scrum Masters, Product Owners) concurrently or at scale
- Experience leading and delivering enterprise‑level IT engagements
- Knowledge of the value proposition of the public cloud and cloud engagement delivery (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
- Active project management certification (e.g., APM, CSM, PMI‑ACP, PRINCE2)
- Experience delivering customer engagements in a professional services role
- AWS Professional level certification or experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences in pre‑sales environments
