We’re looking to hire a Web Design Lead for our financial services client to help drive the evolution of its corporate website—the cornerstone of its digital strategy. This role focuses on creating high-performing digital experiences that generate leads and engage key audiences.
As part of the web strategy and operations team, you’ll collaborate closely with product and segment marketing to deliver high-quality, strategically aligned design solutions across corporate websites and campaign landing pages.
This is a temp-to-perm opportunity located in Jersey City, NJ working one day/week in the office and four days remotely.
Pay: $75-$85/hour + benefits, paid weekly!
Responsibilities:
- Lead the visual and UX direction for the corporate website, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand standards
- Create and maintain design systems to support a scalable and cohesive web experience
- Design and build responsive, visually engaging web pages and interactive components
- Use light animation and interactive features to enrich the digital experience
- Collaborate with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of design concepts
- Lead wire framing, information architecture, and user flows to optimize user experience
- Guide junior designers and cross-functional team members on UX/UI best practices
- Conduct user testing and A/B testing to validate design decisions and improve outcomes
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in web or digital design, with a portfolio showcasing responsive and visually compelling work
- Portfolio link must be included on the resume; relevant work samples must be attached when submitting
- Strong UX/UI skills and a solid grasp of design principles, including typography, color theory, and layout
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience
- Demonstrated experience working within design systems and component-based design frameworks
- In-depth understanding of responsive design, web accessibility standards (WCAG), and best practices
- Hands-on experience designing light animations or interactive web features using tools such as CSS animations or Ceros
- Proven ability to manage and deliver multiple web projects in a fast-paced, corporate environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the financial services industry, particularly in a corporate web design or digital marketing environment
Nice-to-Have (Plus):
- Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, or Hotjar
