AIG’s Information Technology functions include enterprise architecture, software and systems engineering, cybersecurity, and technology risk and compliance.

How you will create an impact

The VP of Technology Risk and Controls (TRC) will be responsible for managing and conducting assessments, monitoring, and reporting on technology risks, issues and remediation plans.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a senior technical leader and advisor to Technology management, providing effective risk mitigation strategies and promoting successful implementation of controls/processes to comply with internal and external control requirements.
  • Assess risks and drive actions to address root causes that could lead to financial, technology, operational, and other risks, challenging both historical and proposed practices.
  • Provide governance over SOX and SOC1 controls and processes.
  • Work hands‑on with technology teams to help identify risk areas and scope for upcoming audit and regulatory reviews.
  • Manage offshore resources.
  • Provide oversight and guidance on key technology projects by driving timely completion of risk‑related deliverables and issue resolution.
  • Engage continuously and consistently with technology teams to gain a full understanding of changing technology and the control environment.
  • Collaborate with technology teams and Audit to identify high‑risk areas and perform assessments of the corresponding inherent risks; recommend mitigating controls aligned with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Support successful completion of annual audits for SOX and SOC1 by overseeing timely delivery of evidence requests.
  • Validate completeness and accuracy of management action plans prior to submission to Audit.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years relevant work experience.
  • College degree in Business, Computer Science, Accounting or a Technology field.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal & written.
  • Significant understanding of Technology Risk, Information Security, and Identity & Access Management.
  • Proven experience with IT Technology and Cloud platforms.
  • Experience with a focus on risk management or regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in Internal Audit or Financial Control, particularly Technology Audits in Public Accounting (preferred).
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISA, CPA, etc. (preferred).
Salary and benefits

For positions based in Jersey City, NJ, the base salary range is $126,000-$171,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we’re proud to offer a range of competitive benefits.
