Caxton Associates' primary business is to manage client and proprietary capital through global macro hedge fund strategies. As part of our continued growth, we are excited to be expanding with a new office in Bangalore, India.

This office will play a critical role in supporting our trading, research, and operations globally.

The candidate will lead and oversee a diverse team of technology professionals locally, including system administrators, software developers, database specialists, tradeflow support, quantitative developers, and IT support engineers. The role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership, and communication skills, ensuring that the Bangalore team integrates seamlessly with our global technology function.

The successful candidate will act as the local technology lead, managing day‑to‑day operations, ensuring high service standards, and delivering strategic technology initiatives in partnership with colleagues across London, New York, Singapore, Dubai and Monaco.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a 10‑person Technology and Quant team in Bangalore across multiple specialties.
• Manage recruitment, training, and career development for the team.
• Foster a high‑performance culture emphasizing collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
• Oversee IT operations and support to ensure systems and services run reliably and securely.
• Coordinate local development projects in software, databases, and quantitative tools.
• Act as the primary technology point of contact for the Bangalore office.
• Work closely with the CTO and Technology team managers to implement firm‑wide initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits, risk assessments, and internal reviews.

• Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional experience in a Technology role, with at least 3 years in a leadership / managing capacity.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure (Windows/Linux), networks, and cloud environments.
• Experience in software and database development (strong C# and / or Python, SQL, relational databases).
• Exposure to quantitative or financial systems (trading platforms, risk systems, market data feeds) is highly desirable.
• SQL development experience (MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle).
• Excellent communication skills, leadership, and stakeholder management.
• Creative problem solver and excellent .
• Experience in financial services or high-performance environments is preferable.
• Displays and operates at the highest degree of ethics and integrity.

• Knowledge of finance, markets, trade life cycle.
• Trading systems support experience.
• Experience with Bloomberg market data APIs e.g. B-PIPE.
• AWS Experience.
