Senior Data Analyst; SQL. Power BI

Job Title: Senior Data Analyst (SQL. Power BI)

Location: Jersey City, NJ – 3-4 Days Hybrid Role

• Acts as a data analyst with subject matter expertise related to advisory data (e.g., Accounts, Positions, Transactions, Instruments, Proposal/Models, Portfolio Construction and Performance Reporting).
• Analyzes, defines and prioritizes the data transformation requirements and functional or operational specifications in collaboration with product managers, data architects, data engineering, and data owners.
• Performs data mining and analysis to determine impact assessment.
• Develops and maintains data lineage documentation and mappings to support data governance, regulatory compliance, and data lineage analysis activities.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
• Typically requires 8-12 years of total work experience, preferably in securities or financial services.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management concepts, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and people skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities under pressure.
• Strong analytical skills, familiar with Agile methodology, and experienced in scrums such as backlog refinement, sprint planning and execution.
• Uses SQL or Python for data mining purposes to troubleshoot data conditions in relational databases.
• SQL skills required: 8-10 years of data analysis querying skills, PL/SQL skills, Big Data analysis.
• Experience with Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, Mongo
  
  DB, Collibra a plus.
