Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Data Science Manager
The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase is tasked with accelerating the firm's data and analytics journey, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security, and leveraging it to promote decision‑making. The CDAO harnesses artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to support the firm's commercial goals, develop new products, and enhance risk management. The Strategy and Execution team defines and executes the CDO vision and strategy.
The Firmwide Chief Data Office (CDO) maximizes the value and impact of data globally, with teams focused on data strategy, impact optimization, privacy, governance, transformation, and talent.
As the Data Products Director, you will lead the Firmwide transition toward a Data Product approach as part of our larger data strategy. You will design and implement an approach to define, develop and register data products, so that a collection of curated data for a specific business need can be easily re‑used to increase speed to insight. You will also work with the Chief Data Officers of every business to build a culture of data product management, planning for the hiring and training of data product managers across JP Morgan Chase.
Finally, you will work with Chief Data Officers to define their data product landscape, and build toward this target.
- Design and develop the data product guidance for JP Morgan Chase
- Design approach for businesses to determine the data products they need to support and how they will manage the data product lifecycle
- Develop job specifications and guidance for the data product manager role
- Lead Firmwide program for data product adoption, as well as hiring and training of data product managers
- 8+ years of relevant experience in data and AI / ML domain
- 4+ years experience as either a product manager, product designer, engineer, data analyst, data scientist, or user researcher
- Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well‑structured, data‑informed, written narrative
- Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship
- Familiarity with common cloud‑native data analysis platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Starburst
- Familiarity with the financial services industry
- Experience building or managing data pipelines and datasets
