System Engineer
Duration: 3 6 month contract to hire
Location:
Hybrid, with onsite work in Jersey City, NJ; exact onsite schedule to be confirmed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in systems administration, systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a similar enterprise IT role.
- Strong experience administering Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- Experience supporting Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related Microsoft infrastructure technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra hybrid identity environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise virtualization technologies.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, storage, and general enterprise networking concepts.
- Experience with enterprise backup and recovery technologies.
- Experience using Power Shell for systems administration or automation.
- Experience with enterprise infrastructure monitoring and management tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems across multiple systems and technology platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and technical priorities.

- Disaster recovery and business continuity technologies
Relevant Microsoft, Azure, virtualization, cloud, infrastructure, or security certifications are a plus.
