Join our team as a Claims Examiner
. We are seeking a team member to join the Shared Services Team. As a Claims Examiner you will investigate, evaluate, and resolve various types of commercial first and third party low‑complexity claims. This role requires accurate and thorough documentation and the completion of resolution action plans based on applicable law, coverage, and supporting evidence.
- Provide and maintain exceptional customer service and ongoing communication to stakeholders throughout the claim life cycle, including prompt contact and follow‑up to complete timely, accurate investigations, damage evaluation, and claim resolution.
- Conduct thorough investigation of coverage, liability, and damages; document facts and maintain evidence to support claim resolution.
- Review and analyze supporting damage documentation.
- Comply with and stay abreast of all statutory and regulatory requirements in applicable jurisdictions.
- Establish appropriate loss and expense reserves with documented rationale.
- Demonstrate technical efficiency through timely and consistent execution of best claim‑handling practices and guidelines.
- Hands‑on experience and strong aptitude with Outlook, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Knowledge of Image Right preferred.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal), influencing, evaluation, listening, and interpersonal skills to develop productive relationships with internal and external peers.
- Ability to participate in active strategic discussions and leverage technical knowledge to make cost‑effective decisions.
- Strong time‑management and organizational skills; ability to adhere to regulatory timelines.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Texas Claim Adjuster license preferred; candidate must obtain it within six months of hire if not already licensed.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience handling commercial insurance claims.
Base salary range: $71,900 – $97,110 per year. Total compensation may include base salary and incentives. Position is incentive eligible.
