Job Description
We’re looking for a talented Brand Manager for our newest brand – Christie Brinkley Authentic Skincare! The ideal candidate will have a passion for the three pillars of the beauty and skin care industry: aesthetics, science, and marketing messaging. We are looking for a superstar who has an understanding of the unmet needs of our customers and can communicate solutions and stories to them while managing a P&L.
This candidate will exhibit a sense of urgency and great attention to executional detail. The candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders.
The Brand Manager will report directly to the CEO and will have primary responsibilities as follows:
- P&L responsibilities across multiple channels including online, live TV shopping, retail, and direct response broadcast media
- Managing development of packaging concepts for the brand
- Direct advertising and promotional initiatives for online, broadcast, retail, live TV shopping and social media
- Create and maintain brand style guides and other frameworks for marketing communication, product development, and packaging.
- Collaborate with Marketing Channel Managers to build brand recognition and equity through packaging, copy, images, videos, website, and other marketing vehicles
- Generating consumer and category insights through primary research and the customer product testing program
- Collaborating with members of the New Product Development team to increase product offerings.
- Work closely with Christie Brinkley and her team to ensure scheduling deadlines, marketing approval deadlines, and product/channel launch deadlines are met.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of brand experience with a personal care merchandise retailer, consumer packaged goods company, or branding agency specific to the beauty industry
- Ability to manage and drive multiple simultaneous initiatives with impeccable attention to detail
- Experience in consumer research and strong analytical skills
- Proven ability to create marketing communications that drive acquisition and deepen customer relationships over time
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA
- Brand Management experience in Personal Care, Beauty, Health & Wellness
- Direct response marketing experience (online, broadcast, print)
- A high degree of proficiency anticipating customer needs and using various forms of qualitative and quantitative data to gain consumer insights
- Understanding of marketing testing and ability to take initiatives from test through commercial launch
- Direct to consumer experience
- Experience developing and managing PR agency partners
- Understanding of online marketing vehicles and how to measure them
- Keen sense for what drives growth and profits
