National Sales Manager

We're a consumer products company that owns and manages a portfolio of nationally recognized brands, and we're aiming to reach $500 million in revenue this year. Our products cover e-mobility, consumer electronics, outdoor power equipment, lawn and garden, cleaning and more, with global operations.

We're looking for a results-driven national sales leader to grow our presence at Costco and open the door  know club and mass retail inside and out! Item-by-item buying, roadshows, line reviews, seasonal resets and promotional planning. You already have strong relationships with Costco and/or Target buyers, and you know how to turn a single item placement into a long-term, multi-category partnership.

You'll own Costco and Target as our priority accounts across all of our brands, both in-store and online. That means pitching the right products, building club- and Target-specific programs, landing new items and placements, and running profitable account plans that grow year after year.

Key Responsibilities

• Own Costco and Target as priority accounts, with annual account plans and sales targets for each.
• Grow our Costco business by pitching new items, bundles and kits to buyers across categories and regions, and securing warehouse placements, seasonal programs, roadshows, savings events and  placements.
• Open and build the Target account by winning in-store and  placements, building programs around Target's seasonal resets and promotions, and evaluating Target Plus where it fits.
• Build retailer-specific assortments with product and marketing teams, including exclusive SKUs, club packs, bundles, packaging and pallet-ready or in-store displays.
• Lead buyer meetings, line reviews and presentations with sell-through data, competitive analysis and clear margin math.
• Negotiate costs, terms, co-op/MDF, markdown and return allowances while protecting gross margin.
• Partner with demand planning and supply chain on forecasts, direct import vs. domestic programs, and each retailer's routing, EDI and compliance requirements.
• Analyze POS, sell-through and inventory data to find risks and growth opportunities and act on them quickly.
• Track category trends, competitor assortments and pricing at club and mass.
• Support secondary club and mass accounts (e.g., Sam's Club, BJ's, Walmart) as directed.
• Represent our brands at buyer meetings, trade shows and retailer events

Qualifications

• 5+ years of national account sales experience, with direct selling experience at Costco and/or Target. Experience with both is a strong plus.
• Existing relationships with Costco and/or Target buyers and merchants.
• A record of winning new items and placements at club or mass retail and consistently beating sales and margin targets.
• Strong knowledge of how Costco buys: item-by-item decisions, roadshows, savings events, club packaging and pallet programs.
• Strong knowledge of how Target buys: line reviews, planograms, seasonal resets, vendor compliance and Partners Online.
• Experience selling consumer electronics, e-mobility, outdoor power equipment, lawn and garden or seasonal hardlines.
• Understanding of retail P&L drivers: margin, co-op, markdowns, chargebacks and returns.
• Familiarity with direct import (FOB) and domestic programs, forecasting and inventory planning.
• Strong presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly for buyer meetings and trade shows.
