Front-end Developer

• The person will be part of the Global Technology team for a major Insurance client. He/ She will work as a Frontend Developer and will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with application and infrastructure developers to design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable design and code using Angular
• They will be part of an agile team that combines various backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to solve complex problems.
• The person will also be required to participate actively in brainstorming sessions for improvement opportunities and take it to completion
• A suitable candidate should have 6+ years of IT experience with at least 4+ years of experience working as a Frontend Developer.
• Experience in life insurance preferred but not mandatory.

• Should be able to work on a problem independently and prepare client ready deliverable with minimal or no supervision
• Good communication skill for client interaction

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Design, Computer Science, Software Engineering or WIS
• Design and implement web front-end and functionality utilizing current technologies including HTML5, CSS, Scss, React, Material UI Framework
• Experienced with implementing responsive designs
• Experienced in estimating timelines for features/tasks.
• Design on React and other current relevant web UI technologies to fulfill technical design requirements of new enhancements
• Experience working on Cloud environment (especially AWS)
• Knowledge on Azure AD integration for Single Sign On
• Integrating frontend application with APIs
• Experience with Git and Git Flows
• Design solutions for improved usability through user centered design and iterative usability testing
• Document usability and functional requirements from development to testing and release
• Provide measure for effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction of business, user, technical and brand objectives
• Produce design requirements, interface standards, guidelines and prototypes that inform design efforts
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and seek opportunity to bring in continuous improvements to implement UI best practices
• Deep understanding and interest in design principles, typography, and white space

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Design, Computer Science, Software Engineering or WIS
• 6+ years experience in Frontend Development, preferably in Life Insurance but not mandatory
• Team Management

This is a Hybrid role with 2 days per week, work from office
