Trading Platform Software Engineer

Job Description

Pay Range: $60hr - $65hr

• The engineer will contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality, maintainable software solutions in an agile environment, meeting both functional and non-functional business requirements.
• The role involves partnering with stakeholders, design and release support, hands‑on coding for product features, and collaboration with technical leads and architects to build secure, scalable, and resilient cloud‑based services using modern development practices.

• Extensive experience with core Java technologies.
• Expertise in designing APIs, distributed systems, asynchronous workers, and resilient messaging services.
• Knowledge of FIX protocol.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud‑based deployments.
• Proven experience in ultra‑low latency design patterns.

• Experience collaborating with business partners on critical initiatives.
• Experience demonstrating engineering excellence through CI/CD practices.
• Experience staying current with IT frameworks and technologies and guiding junior team members.
• Experience working with cross‑functional teams to deliver solutions.
• Experience contributing innovative ideas to improve productivity.

• Develop tools to support trading functionality initiatives.
• Create simulator applications as needed for application deliverables.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to implement changes and develop Java libraries.
• Build generic application containers to abstract complexities from functional development initiatives.

• Experience with low‑latency messaging products.
• Familiarity with sequencer architecture.
• Background in capital markets or cryptocurrency trading, including algorithmic trading.
• Experience optimizing trading systems.
