Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Sr. Java Developer with MIN 8+ years’ experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. Location: Jersey City, NJ, USA (3 days/week- onsite)

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Develop, and maintain server-side applications using Java and Spring Boot (including Spring Web Flux or other reactive frameworks).
• Build and enhance responsive, component-based front-end applications using Angular (v6+).
• Design and consume RESTful APIs; ensure seamless integration between front‑end and back‑end layers.
• Implement reactive programming patterns for high‑throughput, non‑blocking systems.
• Own the full CI/CD lifecycle: build automation pipelines, deploy releases, and manage rollbacks using tools like Git Lab CI/CD.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, end‑to‑end) using JUnit/TestNG, Mockito, Selenium, Cypress, etc.
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate deployments in Kubernetes or other container platforms.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive root‑cause analysis to implement long‑term fixes.

Required Qualifications:

• 8–12 years of professional experience in software development with proven full stack delivery.
• Strong proficiency in Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
• Hands‑on experience with Angular framework (v6 or higher) and Type Script.
• Expertise in designing RESTful microservices and JSON‑based APIs.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and hands‑on experience with at least one automation server (Git Lab CI/CD).
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain automated testing frameworks (unit, integration, E2E).
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Best Security practices (OAuth2/JWT).

Salary and Other Compensation
:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337–$140,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
