Akkodis is seeking a Python Developer for a contract position with a client in Jersey City, NJ / Plano, TX (Hybrid). Responsibilities include hands‑on application development to support regulatory capital reporting and collaboration with multiple technology teams to implement target architecture and migrate to a strategic platform.

Rate Range: $65/hour to $68/hour; negotiable based on experience, education, location, and other factors.

• Develop and maintain applications to support regulatory capital reporting, ensuring compliance with Basel rules.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and migrate to a scalable capital reporting platform.
• Write optimized Python code for data processing, performance tuning, and system integration.
• Implement data source elements and business logic for calculating risk‑weighted assets and generating Basel‑rules based capital ratios.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and perform performance profiling for data‑intensive applications.
• Ensure high‑quality code through testing and debugging of applications.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of Python development experience, with 4+ years in big‑data technologies such as Spark and Hadoop.
• Expertise in performance tuning and optimization of data‑intensive applications.
• Experience with SQL programming, preferably with Oracle Exadata.
