Senior Full Stack Developer

Description This company operates 50K EV chargers across ~200 delivery stations today, scaling to 100K+ by 2028. MCC-Field is the next-generation field application, serving site operations, third-party contractors, and preventive maintenance teams across the company's charging network. Field technicians use it to audit, cycle-count, replace, and troubleshoot chargers under real-world constraints: intermittent connectivity in parking garages, gloved-hand device use, and shift-based operational patterns.

As Software Development Engineer, you will own the technical direction of MCC-Field from R0 hardening before year end through R3+ feature delivery (2028). You will lead the platform's evolution from a Progressive Web App (PWA) with offline-first persistence, backed by AWS serverless infrastructure (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Cognito). You will partner with other development engineers, drive R1 API integrations with partner teams.

You will build with production-grade rigor: full dependency injection, property-based testing, offline sync with bounded retry and conflict detection, and observability via Cloud Watch. This is an IC role with clear technical leadership scope. Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop technical designs
- Understanding of the full Software Development lifecycle
- Experience developing products for customer-facing end users - 5+ years of programming experience with Type Script or Node.js - 5+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Experience building serverless applications on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Cognito)

Skills & Qualifications Preferred Skills
- Experience leading a software team as a tech lead
- Experience using Amazon Web Services, including AWS CDK for infrastructure-as-code
- Experience developing Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) with offline-first architecture Service Workers, IndexedDB, Watermelon DB, or equivalent
- Experience coaching and mentoring junior engineers or contract engineers on a software team
- Experience building scalable front-end infrastructure software or distributed systems for commercial online services
- Experience integrating with external REST APIs and handling partial-availability failure modes

- Experience with mobile device data capture (barcode scanning, camera, GPS) or field-service tooling

- Experience with Amazon internal build/deploy tooling (Brazil, Apollo, Pipelines)
Experience Level Expert Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Jersey City, NJ.Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
