Senior Lead Software Engineer; Java, React

Salary: $61, per year

• Formal software engineering training or certification, with at least 5 years of applied experience.
• Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced experience building enterprise applications with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST services.
• Advanced experience designing distributed, event-driven architectures using microservices, REST and GraphQL APIs, relational databases, and asynchronous messaging.
• Strong hands‑on experience with React, JavaScript, and Type Script, including frontend architecture, performance optimization, reusable components, and enterprise‑scale web applications.
• Experience leading technical design discussions, influencing architecture decisions, mentoring engineers, and modernizing applications across technology stacks.
• Experience using enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted software development tools for activities such as coding, reviews, testing, and troubleshooting, and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering, including data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, and security and resiliency expectations; experience coaching senior engineers or leads on compliant practices and controls.
• Ability to independently resolve design and functionality challenges with little or no oversight.
• Strong hands‑on experience building and operating scalable, resilient, secure cloud‑native applications and distributed systems.

• Financial services, lending, credit origination, workflow, or document management platform experience is preferred.

• Lead a global scrum team, own business outcomes, and collaborate with Product partners to shape direction and deliver technology solutions that improve client outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and propose ideas that create meaningful product and client impact.
• Integrate AI into delivered solutions and team workflows, identify ways AI can address business problems and accelerate delivery, and mentor developers in AI‑first approaches.
• Establish the platforms long‑term vision and architect secure, scalable, resilient, and adaptable solutions for future business needs.
• Champion system design, integration, and modernization practices; set standards for documentation and design patterns; and proactively address technical debt.
• Lead by example, strengthen team culture and capabilities, support junior developers growth, and share knowledge across the team.
• Develop secure, high‑quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• Promote and govern approved AI‑assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes. Establish measurable validation standards, including secure coding, peer review, and automated testing, and encourage reusable patterns and automation across the SDLC toolchain.
• Apply software development lifecycle tools, including approved AI‑assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation at scale.
• Drive decisions affecting product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes, serving as a subject matter expert in areas of focus.
• Contribute to the engineering community by advocating for firmwide software development lifecycle frameworks, tools, and practices.
