The primary purpose of this position is to adhere to established company surveying policies, follow all survey service line procedures and assure that the crew follows standard procedures.

• Perform field survey activities in accordance with standards set by state statutes and the American Congress of Surveying and Mapping
• Manage multiple field crews and assure adherence to procedures in the safety manual and uses all personal safety equipment provided
• Plan daily activities considering possible multiple projects to meet productivity goals set by Project Managers
• Supervise crew vehicle and equipment inventory, loading and maintenance
• Supervise the crew’s use equipment, preparation of sketches and notes, and electronic data collection
• Communicate with the entire crew and office staff about all aspects of the project
• Work without direct day-to-day supervision and make technical decisions for project assigned within specified limits of authority
• Supervise daily data collection downloading
• Participates in project team meetings and follows procedures outlined in Project Management Standards manual

• Fluent English with reading, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and other video conferencing software
• Ability to use Trimble Surveying Equipment and software or similar equipment/software
• Ability to collect and analyze data, apply problem solving skills
• Must be able to work independently or as part of a project team and demonstrate attention to detail
• Effective communication skills are essential for this position

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with data collection and surveying equipment
• Current Driver’s License
• Preferred: Associates Degree in Surveying or Engineering Technology
• Minimum of five (5) years surveying experience
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software
