This role involves cross training between a few positions that involve inspecting railcar parts, material handling, and operating a shot blaster.

Pay: $18 per hour

• Inspect railcar parts to proper specification.
• Identify repairable or condemning defects on the railcar parts.
• Classify and document details of the inbound materials.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move and organize goods.
• Coordinate with shipping carriers and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Perform inventory checks and maintain accurate records of shipped and received items.
• Load and unload trucks or containers in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and rain.
• Load, operate, and maintain the heat treat furnace.
• Load, operate, and maintain the shot blast machine.
• Operate hardness tester and take hardness readings of heat‑treated material.

• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Ability to operate machinery such as shot blasters, heat‑treating furnaces, and forklifts.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to inspect parts for quality assurance.
• Basic computer skills for record‑keeping and inventory tracking.
