American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a fast-paced Emergency Department requiring 2 years of ED experience and the ability to care for both adult and pediatric patients.

• Acute care hospital setting with 65 staffed beds
• General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
• 1:4 patient ratios
• Day shift schedule (4x12 hours), 12:00-00:00
• Every other weekend required
• Block scheduling not available; flexibility required
• Cerner charting system used

• Active IL RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• Experience with both adult and pediatric ED patients required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Skilled in triage, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring
• Experience managing dysrhythmias and obtaining 12-lead EKGs preferred
• Experience with ortho trauma, splinting, and CVA/TBI care preferred
• Experience with ventilated patients, IV sedation, and vasopressors preferred

• First-time travelers accepted, though travel experience is preferred
• Must reside more than 30 miles from the facility to be considered
• Scrubs of any color accepted, but no t-shirts, sweatshirts, or logos from other organizations
• RTO requests must be discussed directly with the manager during the interview
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Located less than an hour from St. Louis and about 45 minutes from Scott Air Force Base
